BIMAL Brčko and ŽOK BIMAL Jedinstvo will sign a new sponsorship contract

The women’s volleyball club Jedinstvo from Brčko will bear the name of BIMAL from Brčko for the next competitive season. This was decided after a meeting held at the premises of the BIMAL Brčko company, which was attended by the president of the ŽOK BIMAL Jedinstvo Esad Omerhodžić and the club director Saša Grekulović, on the one hand, and the director of Corporate Communications of STUDEN Holding, Nataša Pucar, on the other.

“There is no future of sports in our city without healthy, sporty, young people, and ŽOK BIMAL Jedinstvo cares for all age categories – from female pioneers to senior women. That is why, for successful sports results and healthy youth, continuous support for sports and this club is necessary. In order for them to be able to devote themselves to training, preparations, matches and essential sports, and not to existential issues, we have decided to be the general sponsor of ŽOK BIMAL Jedinstvo this year as well. This cooperation has been going on since the 2013/2014 and for more than 10 seasons we are the proud champions of volleyball in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said Nataša Pucar, Director of Corporate Communications.

Senior team of ŽOK BIMAL Jedinstvo finished the competition year 2023/2024 in second place in the table of the BiH Championship. They were vice-champions in the Cup of Republika Srpska and in the Cup of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Last season, the juniors finished third in the Republika Srpska and sixth at the BiH level. The female cadets reached the finals of the Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina championships, while the female pioneers played the first matches in the Republika Srpska championship in their age category.

“Sports in the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina have been in a difficult situation for several years. We felt it strongly on our skin. We were also in a really difficult financial situation, but thanks to persistence, as well as our general sponsor, we managed to overcome this crisis period. Unfortunately, that cost us the title of champion of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We are the only club in the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina that paid taxes at a time when many clubs shut down or withdrew from the Premier League competitions. This season, we will focus again on returning the title of BiH champion to Brčko, and the extension of the sponsorship contract with the BIMAL company will certainly contribute to that,” said Esad Omerhodžić, President of the Management Board of ŽOK BIMAL Jedinstvo Brčko.

ŽOK BIMAL Jedinstvo currently has 154 registered players in all categories, and the club’s intention is to bring reinforcements before the start of the new competitive season, which the public will be informed about later.
